Excluding any possible greenwashing, the Salon de l'Escalade, from its first edition on, aims at drastically limit its environmental impact. Although imperfect, be assured that we pay sincere attention to improving these points in the future. If you identify additional actions to be taken, please share it with us!

From the Organizational point of view:

Our Foodtrucks offer organic or local products for a homemade, gourmet and ethical culinary offer, gathered around a collective forging solidarity links between sustainable farmers and consumers. Just like our Zero Plastic Bar, which we are committed to collecting and recycling 100% of Glass and Steel containers.

Actions undertaken with our Exhibitors:

Check out at the floor and notice notice the almost total lack of carpeting, which we encourage Exhibitors to do without. Probably surprising for our First Edition, this choice now appears as a trend in today's events! When the fair is over, part of theses carpets are donated to associations reusing it as a protection coating for various uses.
We encourage our 'Upcycler' Exhibitors activity (i.e. those restoring value to products intended to be thrown away, recombining them into new items) by granting them a significant reduction on their exhibition costs.
Finally, we provide NGOs with a free of charge area to help them promote promote their actions, either environmental- or social-oriented.

Our actions towards our Visitors:

In 2021, we rolled out a totally new and free service for repairing technical clothing for our Visitors: ‘Vertical-Fix’. Throughout the weekend, a seamstress was refurbishing items while their owners enjoyed the show!
In addition, we organized in 2019 with BEAL and in 2021 with SIMOND an operation to collect worn-out ropes. For every rope retrieved, their former owners were given free tickets to the show. These ropes have all been integrated into a recycling circuit.
